On July 3, 2023, the Washington Court of Appeals affirmed a King County jury verdict of $150.3 million for two families who lost loved ones and for three people who were injured as a result of the April 27, 2019 tower crane collapse in Seattle. The verdict was rendered on March 14, 2022 following a five-week trial.
$12.3 million was awarded to our client, who sustained physical and psychological injuries due to this incident. Mobile crane operator Omega Morgan Sarens as well as Northwest Tower Crane Service, which was in charge of erecting and dismantling the tower crane, were found to be largely responsible for the deaths and injuries.

An insurance company owes fees and costs when they appeal an arbitration award and fail to better their result. In our most recent trial victory against Allstate, the case could have settled for $32,500; however, they paid $210,000 to satisfy the jury verdict after appealing our injured client’s arbitration award.
In addition to our trial victories, we regularly reach favorable pretrial results through diligent case preparation. In a recent case, we obtained a $9.3 million settlement on behalf of our injured client. We have a record of success against insurance companies that refuse to fairly compensate victims of negligence.
